Concerts To be Hype About

UPCOMING CONCERT VENUES

So lately, music honestly sucks! I feel like it doesn’t have the same creativity and pizazz that many of the artists from back in the day possessed. Many of the music today is regurgitated shit and lyrics have no meaning. Beats are produced and are cool, but I actually appreciate LIVE MUSIC. There are a few venues coming up that I actually am excited about!
StaindIn the early 2000’s Aaron Lewis, Staind’s front man came on the scene with his acoustic guitar and captivating voice. Their hit album Break the Cycle (2001) was HUGE and hits such as “Outside” and “It’s Been Awhile” hit airwaves making history. Since then, Staind has had some hits but nothing like their junior album’s success. I am HYPE that they are touring again and hope to see them in NY soon! (I just missed their Atlantic City show L )

Goo Goo Dolls & Daughtry with special guest Plain White T's – Okay, so this looks like a chill show! Nothing crazy honestly will go down, which is in my ballpark now a days. When I was younger I was into the “harder” rock. The Goo Goo Dolls have been on the scene since the 90’s and their hit album Dizzy Up The Girl (1998) gave us hits like “Iris” and “Slide.” This album has been noted to give the band their noted success. Daughtry was formed by former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry and his voice is absolutely exhilarating. Their self-titled debut album was released in November 2006, and reached number one on the Billboard 200 charts with their hit “It’s Not Over.” The bands will be performing at Jones Beach June 14, 2014.

Linkin Park ft. 30 Seconds to Mars-  When Linkin Park band came on the scene in 1998 as Hybrid Theory, they spun the underground rock scene upside down. I myself was a HUGE fan of underground rock at the time and Hybrid Theory was fresh, angry and incorporated rap into their music. They then changed their name to Linkin Park and made history. Linkin Park released Hybrid Theory in 2000. Hybrid Theory was a great commercial success as it sold more than 4.8 million copies during its debut year. It earned the status of best-selling album of 2001, with hits such as "Crawling" and "One Step Closer.” Since then they have had 7 albums and still remain on top of the Rock game. I look forward to seeing them play with 30 Seconds to Mars at Jones Beach on August 18 & 19th 2014.
